Saturday storms produced a tornado that tore through an East Texas town
A series of fierce storms that ripped through Texas early Saturday producing large hail, damaging winds and lighting also resulted in a tornado that struck a small East Texas community.
Meteorologists and multiple outlets reported that a tornado ripped through the town of Franklin in Robertson County. The city is located just north of College Station and Bryan.

The tornado destroyed buildings, toppled trees, damaged cars and left debris strewn across roads, according to drone photos from the scene.
The National Weather Service had previously issued a tornado warning for various parts of Texas affected by the storms, including Bexar County.
